International Straw Art Festival “Magic of Straw” invites everyone who desires to learn different straw art techniques.
Date: 22-27 of July, 2019
Place: Workshops will be held in National Visitors’ Centre and “inTegra House”. Place of participants’ accommodation – Dormitory of National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art (Vilnius).

Straw Art Festival is an international event which traditionally happens in a different country every two years. This event aims to present the diversity, multiple meanings, different interpretations of straw handicrafts, and to promote sharing of knowledge and skills. This year the Festival will take place in Vilnius, Lithuania – all the enthusiasts, craftsmen and amateurs of straw art are meeting here.
The festival gathers straw art masters from 12 countries, including Belarus, China, Estonia, Hungary, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Serbia, Switzerland, Ukraine, the USA! More than 40 Lithuanian and foreign handicraftsmen will be sharing their knowledge during the Festival. They create various pieces out of straw: applications, pictures, straw gardens, accessories, souvenirs, flowers, hats, trays, etc.
The participants of the Festival will not only participate in the straw art workshops but also they will be traveling around Lithuania, listening the lectures, watching documentaries and participating in guided tours.
