The abundance and diversity of cultural heritage objects, fast rivers, unique boulders, unique neat towns – all this gives Salantai Regional Park a unique charm and exclusivity. The largest juniper plant in Lithuania grows here. Only here you can admire the thickest and oldest chestnut. Alka Hill, on which the holy fire is probably burning for the longest time in Samogitia. Crosses, chapels and chapel pillars are an integral part of the regional park landscape. The river Minija meanders through the park. The unique Saukliai boulder, called the Lithuanian tundra, is found here, as is the fifth largest boulder in Lithuania – Silalė boulder. The only tower-free neo-baroque basilica church in Kartena stands in the park. Built after 1875.
