International Folklore Festival “Skamba skamba kankliai” will take place in Vilnius, from 21st to 26th of May. The Festival of this year is dedicated to one of Lithuania’s regions – Žemaitija (Samogitia).
Festival’s program is very rich: you can find around 40 different events related to Lithuanian traditional culture and meet the traditions of the Festival’s guests too: lots of live concerts, parties of traditional dances, conferences, fair of folk artists, traditional crafts workshops, etc.
The main stage of the festival is coming back to the park called “Bernardinų sodas”, but there will be many events which will take place in Vilnius concert halls, old town squares, yards and streets.
“Skamba skamba kankliai” gathers the participants from numerous countries including Georgia, Estonia, Greece, Ukraine, Belarus, Sardinia, Russia and Australia!
