Vilkiškės Manor is a 19th-century manor house located in a picturesque location on the banks of the Merkys River in the Šalčininkai District. A state-protected park with linden-lined roads and walking trails stretches around the manor house.
Vilkiškės Manor was built in the Merkys Valley in 1847 by the noble Dmochowski family. The manor house, a single-storey building of wooden architecture, decorated with numerous carvings, standing on a high stone foundation, was surrounded by a well-kept park with avenues of linden and oak trees and a grove of larch trees. However, the owners did not enjoy all this for long, because in 1863 the Tsarist authorities confiscated the estate from the Dmochowski family for their participation in the uprising. During the Soviet era and the independence years, a school was located in the Vilkiškės Manor until 2008.

In 2015, the Municipality of Šalčininkai District started restoration works on the manor house, whose style is somewhat reminiscent of the old wooden architecture of Vilnius’ Žvėrynas suburb, and also the park. It is planned to organise cultural events and educational programmes in the manor.A recreation area with gazebos, tables, barbecues, fireplaces, changing rooms and a lime tree is currently being built on the banks of the Merkys, which runs right through the manor. This campsite is open to both frequent canoeists on the Merkys and visitors to the estate and the park who want to go for a hike.
