Caraway tea and its benefits. Caraway seeds are quite popular biennial plants in Lithuania, the seeds of which are used as spices and as medicinal herbs. Caraway seeds have a distinctive, rather specific flavor and are used to flavor a variety of dishes, including bread, cheese, sauerkraut, and certain alcoholic beverages. In addition to its culinary uses, caraway is traditionally used as a medicinal herb for its
potential digestive benefits, helping to relieve symptoms such as indigestion and bloating.

Drinking caraway tea is recommended to relieve these symptoms. Caraway tea has a pleasant, mild taste – slightly sweet and with hints of anise or licorice. Preparation of caraway tea: put a teaspoon of caraway seeds in a cup and pour 200 ml of boiling water over them, cover with a plate and leave to infuse for 10 minutes. Strain and drink. Can be flavored with honey. The exact method of preparation may differ in case of illness, so you should consult your doctor or pharmacist. Also, when preparing tea, caraway seeds can be combined with other herbs or spices for additional flavor.
